There are so many things you can make a sunburst mirror of. Here is an idea of a homemade sunburst mirror from ordinary wood shims. 18 packs of wood shims won’t cost you much even with all other things needed for the project. These things include a 12-inch diameter wood craft ring, an 1–7-inch diameter mirror, an old beaded necklace, wood glue and hot glue, and high quality picture hanging hardware. The whole project is based on gluing the shims together to create the starburst and attaching them all to a craft ring.
