A cornucopia is a symbol of abundance, which was extremely important for the first settlers, and though you may say it’s old-fashioned, it’s making a huge comeback for Thanksgiving decor. Such a piece will be an original decoration or even food piece, so if you are interested – let’s see how to style it.
Decor
A cornucopia is a perfect base for a centerpiece. Get a wicker one and fill it with faux (or real) pumpkins, gourds, leaves, flowers, fruit and so on – the style and colors are up to your tablescape. Moss, wheat, corn husks, corn and figs are also a good idea to fill a cornucopia. A cornucopia can be turned into a door wreath with various leaves, fruit, veggies and other items – it will look very eye-catching!
Edible Cornucopias
Edible cornucopias are a cool idea to display veggies at your party. Bake a cornucopia and fill it with all veggies, fruits and maybe cheese and place some dips and sauces in bowls next to the cornucopia. If you have kids, serve dessert in ice cream cones that will imitate cornucopias and fill them with candied fruits, nuts and candies. Enjoy!
