A plant stand is a cool idea to display your favorite plant or flower, to make an accent in your room. To make this plant stand you’ll need 3/4″ hardwood dowel, 1 1/2″ x 3/4″ hardwood lumber, 1/8″ dowels, wood glue, natural wood finish, a drill press, 3/4″ forstner bit, a table saw, clamps, an orbital palm sander and fine grit sandpaper. Cut two lengths of 1 1/2″ x 3/4″ longer than diameter of pot, for the crossbars. Measure halfway point on each length and cut out a 3/4″ x 3/4″ notch on table saw or with a jig saw. Clamp each crossbar into your drill press and mill out each end halfway across the forstner bit. Read the rest of the tutorial in the source.
