What Are Pallet Garden Advantages?
Wooden pallets are cheap, so making a garden with them won’t cost you much money. They’re easy to take care of as long as they don’t get wet. You shouldn’t leave pallets outside when it’s raining, but if you have to, you can cover them with something waterproof.
Wooden pallets are strong and durable. They don’t need to be melted down with expensive chemicals to be recycled. If they break, you can fix them easily with nails, a hammer, and some wood. Anyone can do it; you don’t need a professional carpenter.
Wooden pallets have good grip on surfaces, which helps keep them stable, especially in a warehouse.

A Simple DIY Pallet Vertical Garden
If you like building things, you can take apart a pallet or a few of them and create your own garden using the pieces. These are usually vertical planters, and you can design them in any shape you like.
First, gather your materials, including a wooden pallet, sandpaper, paint or wood stain if you want to add some color, soil, your chosen plants (herbs, flowers, or small vegetables), landscape fabric, a staple gun, and some staples. You will also need a hammer and nails.
Begin by preparing the pallet. Sand the pallet to smooth out any rough edges. If you want to give your pallet a bit of flair, paint or stain it and let it dry completely before moving on to the next step.
Next, cut the landscape fabric to fit the back and bottom of the pallet. This will create pockets for the soil and plants. Use the staple gun to attach the fabric securely to the pallet.
Once the fabric is in place, stand the pallet upright and start filling the pockets with soil. Be sure to fill them adequately, providing enough space for the plant roots to grow.
Now, it’s time to plant! Choose your favorite herbs, flowers, or small vegetables and plant them in the soil pockets. After planting, water the plants thoroughly to help them settle in.
Finally, find a sunny spot for your vertical pallet garden. If necessary, secure it to a wall or fence to ensure it stays upright and doesn’t fall over.
To keep your pallet garden thriving, water it regularly. Rotate the plants as needed to ensure even growth. With these simple steps, you’ll have a beautiful and functional vertical pallet garden in no time!
