Summer is the time of beaches and the sea and it’s a great period to make something sea-inspired with your kids. These cute projects will help you make some pretty sea creatures and the sea and sky to play, the first craft is for toddlers and it features origami techniques, the second is for little ones and it’s easier. Choose or make both and celebrate the summer season!
Origami Paper Craft For Toddles
Let’s make a crab.
Take an orange sheet of paper and fold it two times.
Cut off one rectangle and start folding as you see in the video. When you get a pretty crab, add a face with a sharpie.
Take a yellow sheet of paper, cut off a rectangle and make a fish following the instructions in the video and again add a face with a sharpie.
Grab a pink sheet of paper and follow the instructions in the vid to make a whale.
Glue two different sheets of colored paper to each other and use them as the sky and the sea. Fold the pieces as shown and glue one more sheet of paper on top.
Glue sea weed, corals and fish to the improvised sea part.
Make cuts in the piece and insert your sea creatures.
Attach your crab, fish and whale to ice cream sticks (you may paint them) and voila, cute toys are done!.
Let your kids enjoy playing!.
A Paper Craft For Little Ones
Take a sheet of thick blue paper, fold it and cut some waves but don’t cut to the end.
Here's what you should get after that.
Now cut out some circles and triangles of various sizes of colored paper to make fish of them.
Glue circles and triangles to each other and draw cute faces using a sharpie.
Now let’s make some octopuses. Take a colored paper circle and cut off a part of it, then get some folded paper stripes for legs and glue them to the body part; add a face with a sharpie.
Turn the blue sheet with waves into a real sea!.
