25 Mismatched Upholstery Ideas For Bold Spaces
If you love eclectics, if you love mismatch and unusual décor solutions, this is it – mismatched upholstery! Mismatched upholstery (I don’t mean different furniture pieces but one) is a cool and non-traditional idea of furniture styling, even if you take just an old item, you can easily turn it modern and very bold using different upholstery, and this is a cool and simple DIY project. I’ve prepared some examples to get you inspired, take a look!
Chairs
As for mismatched upholstery, it’s applied only to sitting furniture, of course and we’ll start from chairs, which are the most popular items to renovate: it’s very easy to do that. You just take a ready chair and change its upholstery on the back, on its top or seat or make all the three different. You may color block, take one part in a solid color, and the other in some prints, or boldly go for all the prints around. Choose fabrics and prints that somehow match your interior, or if it’s eclectic, you can just go crazy with all the colors and prints you are using. I don’t insist on your making such chairs yourself, of course, you can buy some designer pieces, too, but they can be costly. Such chairs will enliven any interior making eclectic even more eclectic and neutrals bolder and brighter.
