This summer craft for children is very easy to make, and it just can’t be done wrong. Attach masking tape to canvas or to a sheet of thick paper and let the child do as he or she likes: squeeze out paints in a chaotic manner, paint with brushes, leave stamps, use a roller, the main goal is to have fun. Removing the tape, we get a real masterpiece of modern art. Let’s complete the picture craft with a spider and flies, and a cool artwork created with children is ready!
Take primed canvas and attach masking tape creating a spiderweb on it.
Choose acrylic paints for the craft, here the authors used three different shades of green, blue, yellow and orange but you may go for other colors if you want. Now paint the canvas in a chaotic manner using blue and green shades.
Add orange and yellow dots wherever you want. Spread the wet paint with a roller; when it dries, use a stamp with yellow paint to add more dots to the canvas and again distribute them on the canvas using the roller.
Make a purple pompom spider – you can make a pompom yourself watching our video or buy a ready one.
Attach legs made from ice cream sticks: draw them black with a sharpie, then cut the excess with scissors and hot glue them to each other using a hot glue gun. Hot glue your pompom on top and attach googly eyes.
Make tiny colorful pompoms and attach tiny blue wings to them to represent flies.
Remove the masking tape carefully and hot glue the insects wherever you want.
Voila! You can hang the artwork on the wall.
