A pegboard is a thing that increases functionality of any space and doesn’t require much effort or money to install. We tend to add pegboards to all the spaces of our homes where we need more vertical storage, and one of such rooms is a kids’ room. Considering kids’ spaces, I’d say that a pegboard is one of the best ideas ever, which will suit many rooms and different ages. Let’s see how to implement one.
Kids’ Activity Spaces
Climbing Walls
One of my favorite ideas is making a climbing wall for kids using pegboards. All you need to do is to attach pegboards to the wall and then add colorful holds here and there. Don’t forget to put soft mattresses or pillows on the floor to prevent any injuries. Your kids will be happy!

Playrooms
A playroom just needs a pegboard! If it’s a play kitchen, it can be a pegboard backsplash, if it’s an activity and fun space, you can place it anywhere comfortable. Add shelves and ledges to let your kids put something these or even use the pegboard as a giant game.

Art Stations
If your kids have an art station or some space like that, install a pegboard over the desk to let them display their artwork and store the supplies they need for crafting and painting. This is the best way to keep everything at hand and in order.

Kids’ Rooms
Pegboard Walls
If you can, make a pegboard wall in the kids’ room. Such a wall will accommodate a lot of shelves, ledges, hooks and other stuff, and your children will store there everything from backpacks to toys. If it seems a boring idea, paint or color block this wall to make it wow. Such a solution will give a lot of vertical storage space, and your kids will be able to change the configurations and add more details there.
