We’ve already told you of various creative headboards but what would you say to upcycling an old front door to a cool headboard? Let’s try, you’ll need towels, an electric saw, an electric sander, sand paper, goggles, an old blanket, primer, paint, brushes, (2) 2×4′s cut to your desired length, screws and bolts, an electric drill, tape measure and a door knob. Start from cleaning the door with wipes and then unscrew the hardware. Sand it, paint and let dry. Once the primer dried, paint two coats of the paint of your choice. The 2×4′s prop the headboard up, and drill two holes per 2×4 — one to attach the 2×4 to the door and one to attach the actual headboard to the metal bed frame. Read the detailed instructions here.
