As many of us started working from home, we are looking for places to squeeze our workspaces in – nooks in living rooms, corners of our kitchens and even bedrooms. If you have a guest bedroom, it can also accommodate a workspace, and it will be comfy to work there as it’s usually not a crowded place.
There are two ways to go: you may create a guest bedroom with a comfortable bed and build in a workspace there making it seamless, a sleek part of the room. This room will be more about comfort of your guest who will be sleeping there. Another way to go is to make a home office with an additional daybed or even a ouch to sleep on. Such a room will be more about working than sleeping but if you don’t often have guests, it’s a nice idea.
Combos With Beds
If you have enough space in the guest bedroom, spoil your guests with a real bed and visually divide the working and sleeping zones. A large bed with lots of pillows will make your guests feel like in heaven! Choose a desk in a different shade, place it by the window or next to a wall far from the bed. One more cool idea to divide these zones is making an upper level for the bed and placing the desk under it. If you can’t spend too much space on the working zone, go for a windowsill one, which is no less functional than a usual desk.

Combos With Sofas
If your guest bedroom is very small, you should substitute a bed for a convertible sofa, which doesn’t take much space yet gives enough sleeping space at the same time. One more solution is a built-in storage unit with a Murphy’s bed, which will be a nice idea for sleeping. As for the desk, it can be a windowsill or even a built-in one with built-in shelves. If the room is tiny, there’s no need to separate the spaces anyhow, and there are many combos that allow placing the bed and the desk very closely, the desk can be used as a nightstand.
