Green is a wonderful color, it’s refreshing, inspiring and soothing at the same time. There are lots of shades and most of them (except for neon ones) are associated with nature and make interiors feel outdoorsy. How to incorporate this cool color into your living room decor?
Color Schemes
There are lots of tones of green and as this color is very much loved, as it’s all about nature and relaxation, you can often find monochromatic green living rooms in various styles that feature different shades of green and almost nothing else. If you don’t feel like a monochromatic space, pair greens with neutrals, black, grey, bold shades of various kinds depending on your shade of green and even pastels – bold green tones can make pastels look awesome. A green-infused space always looks good with gold and brass as they accent it a lot and flatter the shade.
Green can be used for painting ceilings and walls – this is one of the most popular colors for accents as it’s gender neutral, soothing and loved by most people. Painting is the only option, you can go for wallpaper, panels, upholstering, plaster and much more. Green can be added with furniture, and the first thing that comes to my mind is a gorgeous hunter green or emerald velvet sofa – such a piece can change the look of the whole room. Green chairs, tables, shelves and other items make the living room look very chic and bold if you’ve chosen a bright shade. Don’t forget accessories like artworks, figurines, textiles and other stuff, they may help you add the color, too!
