Got a couple of mason jars? Let’s realize some very cool ideas to greet the coming fall! Mason jars can be easily turned into lanterns, candle holders, centerpieces and used for storage of various fall stuff, wanna take a closer look? If yes, keep reading.
The first craft will give any home a fantastic fall smell because it’s a simmering pot with orange slices, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves and apple peels placed in a mason jar. You can give it as a gift or just prepare for yourself and open when you wanna feel the amazing smell.
The second tutorial tells how to make these amazing lanterns with leaves. You’ll need some craft paint, mason jars and a leaf-shaped decal. Use various fall colors to create a bold combo when you finish! Let them dry and place candles inside.
These amazing firefly lanterns will be loved by kids and adults! Just place some moss inside and then add string LED lights, voila!
Here’s one more lantern idea, and you’ll need paints, vinyl monogram and leaf decals and mason jars. The lanterns have a messy look for purpose but you can make them different.
Chalky paint, burlap and lace trim can easily turn your mason jars into fantastic vases! Just paint them, when the jars are all dry, add a strip of burlap around the middle of each one and secure with a bit of hot clue around the back side. Then wrap a piece of trim on top of the burlap.
I must admit – these lanterns are my favorite ones! They really bring the fall spirit and make me look forward to this sweet season. Grab some fake leaves as natural ones are too fragile and difficult to work with. Attach them using Mod Podge and voila, your lantern are ready and you may add candles.
Larger jars can become fall hanging lanterns: place votives with candles inside, then some fall pieces like pinecones or nuts and add a wire handle, which you can easily make in a minute.

This bold vase will be perfect for the fall and Halloween! You’ll need a black mason jar and a beautiful metallic gold paint pen. If you can’t find a black mason jar, you can either spray paint a clear mason jar with black paint OR fill the mason jar with black paint, swirl it around, and let it dry upside down.
One more fall lantern here! Prepare a wide mouth pint mason jar, burlap and leaves, either fake or natural ones. Attach burlap to the mason jars and then leaves, too using some twine and glue. Put candles inside.
