DIY Boho Halloween Garland With Gnomes And Brooms

Pom Pom Gnomes and Brooms Halloween Garland

After I finished making the boho-style Halloween wall hanging with pom-pom gnomes and witch brooms, I just couldn’t stop. Seriously, these little gnomes are so cute! I found myself with leftover yarn and supplies, and I thought, why not make a garland to go with it? So, here we are—another fun, cozy Halloween decor idea. Garlands are one of those versatile decorations that work anywhere—you can drape them over a mirror, hang them on a door, or use them in a cozy corner to tie the room together. I love how a simple garland can make such a big impact!

Materials You’ll Need

  • Yarn in black and orange (same as before!)
  • Wooden beads (12mm diameter)
  • Cardboard for winding the yarn
  • Scissors and glue
  • String or macramé cord for hanging

Crafting the Gnomes & Brooms

  1. If you already made the wall hanging, you’re basically an expert at this by now. For the garland, I used the same process to make the gnomes and brooms so I won't go in details here. Just visit the previous tutorial.

Once all your gnomes and brooms are ready, it’s time to string them up! I used a simple yarn string to tie everything together. It’s easiest if you lay the gnomes and brooms out in the order you want them to hang first, then just tie them onto the cord.

  1. The only difference this time is I made a few extra of each to string along the garland.

  2. Pro tip: To keep everything looking balanced, alternate the colors of the gnomes and brooms. I went with black gnomes with orange hats and orange gnomes with black hats, just like in the wall hanging.

    Boho Halloween Garland

This garland is the perfect companion to my wall hanging. It also is great to use as is to bring this cozy, boho vibe but in a playful, movable format. Whether you hang it by itself or alongside the wall decor, it adds a festive, handmade touch to any room. Plus, making the garland gave me an excuse to keep crafting those irresistibly cute gnomes (and trust me, I’m not mad about it). It’s a quick and easy way to extend your Halloween decor—and the best part is, you can customize it to fit your style!
