One thing I added that I hadn’t planned was some tiny pebbles at the bottom of the frame, under the mat. I had a bunch of tiny black stones lying around, so I thought, “Why not?” Btw, they came from Iceland. Who would thought that's where they end up. These tiny stones gave the piece some texture and extra depth.
