Today I’d like to continue sharing the hottest 2020 home décor trends, and we’ll take a look at bathrooms. If a bathroom renovation is what you want to start the year with, think matte finishes, bold tiles that feature shape and maybe texture, waterfall showers and free-standing bathtubs, moody colors and dark ambiences or vice versa – light-filled minimal spaces. Let’s take a closer look at some of the trends that are on.
Moody Bathrooms
Moody décor is all the rage, it got popular several years ago, and these dark spaces keep conquering the world as they feel relaxed and look exquisite. We are used to see light-filled and white bathrooms but moody ones will be a hit this year and if you are ready to experiment, this is it!

Minimalist Bathrooms
Minimalism is totally on this year, and minimalist bathrooms are great: they aren’t cluttered, due to which they look bigger, they are light-filled and very fresh and sleek – perfect for a contemporary home. You can go for any color schemes and even mix up two trends – minimalism and moody shades in one space for an edgy look.

Shaped Tiles
This year is for bold tiles, and here we don’t mean colors, we mean shapes and textures. Make a statement with fish scale, hexagon and other geometric tiles and many other shapes that you like – they leave an impression even if they aren’t bright, they make a statement with their shapes. But of course, you can use colorful ones and accent them with contrasting grout.

Freestanding Bathtubs And Sinks
Free-standing appliances take less space and look more modern and chic, especially if you choose some peculiar and catchy items. Clawfoot tubs are a hot and trendy idea, and if you prefer contemporary style, you can go for variously shaped modern tubs. Though they may appear pricey, both freestanding bathtubs and sinks will increase the value of your home as well as retain their value through the test of time.
Matte Fixtures
Forget shiny metals for this year and take a look at matte ones, especially black, it’s , easily striking and visibly noticeable. With matte finishes, dirt and dust are not visible and the material is not easily permeable. So consider matte black if you want to give your bathroom a modern look that won’t easily be forgotten.
