Prints are what makes every space more eye-catchy, they give it character and sometimes tell the story. While geometric and floral prints are considered timeless classics, animal prints tend to be more capricious and more difficult to style but no worries – there’s a place for them, too! Leopard, zebra, Dolmatin and snakeskin prints are the most popular animal prints that are to highlight the style of the space and give it a glam feel. Though you may think that these prints are outdated, today they come in lots of catchy color combos that make them fresh, edgy and bold, and they are easier to integrate into various spaces due to that. Let’s enjoy some ideas below.
Zebra Print
Zebra is the most loved of all animal prints, perhaps because of its simple color scheme, black and white, which makes it easier to incorporate it into home decor. Today zebra print exists in many contrasting color combos but black and white is still the most actual. Zebra printed rugs, upholstery and even bedding are the easiest and most used ways to infuse the space with this print, though you may see bold zebra print wallpaper, too. What other prints to pair it with? I’d recommend either leopard or Dolmatin but in some coordinating colors.

Leopard/ Cheetah Print
Leopard is number two animal print, and sometimes it’s even more actual than zebra, again due to its simple monochromatic color scheme. This print looks a bit aggressive, so kepe it in mind while dosing it in your space – just one chair or some pillows can be enough. If you take this print in an unusual color combo, you may incorporate more of that as it won’t be too much in your face. You may use leopard print together with floral prints and stripes, and strict geometry won’t look bad with it, just choose matching colors.

Dolmatin Print
I must confess: Dolmatin print is my absolute favorite! This is like cheetah print but more irregular, airy-looking and unusual. I consider it a perfect solution to add a playful and fun touch to the space and great for girlish rooms. This is delicate glam that isn’t overdone, and it goes nice with gold, brass and hot pink. Non-traditional Dolmatin print color combos are also welcome! Dolmatin looks nice with zebra and floral prints but in matching colors.

Snakeskin Print
Snakeskin print isn’t often met in home decor, so if you use it, you will get a unique touch to the decor. Soft colors of this print taken in traditional shades will easily complement a nature-inspired or neutral space giving it an unusual and refined touch. Snakeskin print will look cool with cheetah in coordinating colors but I won’t recommend to use it with other prints.
