Papier-mâché is a composite material consisting of paper pieces or pulp, sometimes reinforced with textiles, bound with an adhesive, such as glue, starch, or wallpaper paste. So why not to make some and use it to decorate some object of your interior like a planter? These terra cot pots are ideal for plants but their appearance isn’t great at all…
For such decorating project you’ll need several old magazines, several small brushes and a special paste you can prepare by yourself. To cook this paste you need to put some flour in cold water, put it on fire and stir it until it forms a single mass.
After you’ve prepared the paste you can use it as a glue to cover the planter with magazine scraps. You should have at least three layers of these scraps on your planeter. Pay a special attention to the top layer because it determines the final look of your decorative planter.
