The Shell House is a shell-like structure located in woods of Kuruizawa, Japan. It’s designed to function like a vacation home which is able to withstand the humid summers and cold winter. In order to achieve that the house consists of two elliptical shell concerete structures. These shells blends in j-shape that surround an old tree that wasn’t hurt during the construction works. The terraces are done in Ulin wood which adds a warm touch to the futuristic look of the house.
