The school year has started and if your kid needs a simple DIY pencil holder, this tutorial is for you. You’ll need some glue, a paint brush, twine, some acrylic paint and a cylindrical container. Apply some glue at the base of the container. Glue the end of the twine to the container. Continue to apply glue and wrap the twine around the container. Start painting and apply as many coats as you need; if you are not getting a good coverage from your paint you could start white base coat and build it up from there. Lay it upside down to dry – it won’t take you long due to the acrylic paint. Give it to your kid and let him or her enjoy using the piece!
