It’s summer, let’s go to the beach, everybody! For a comfortable and simple beach bag you’ll need a canvas bag of your choice, thread(s), a needle, and a bit of embroidery-style stitching. Work upside down from the opening of the bag to draw the design; use tailors’ chalk to be able to rub it off later. Use washy tape for the first few “shapes” to assist with alignment. To keep the lines straight bring the needle and thread out from underneath – the inside of the bag – and then pull it straight down to place the needle worked well. If it’s not perfect, it’s okay, slightly imperfect edges are the beauty of Ikat fabrics anyway. Now put all you need inside and go to the beach enjoying your work.
